Dr. Guy Lloyd
Dr Guy Lloyd studied medicine (MBBS) at Guy’s and St Thomas' Hospital Medical School, University of London. He was awarded a doctorate of medicine from King College London and has dual accreditation in Cardiology and General Internal Medicine. He has worked in the NHS since 1991 and has been employed as a consultant cardiologist at Eastbourne DGH since 2002 he also holds honorary contracts at St Thomas' Hospital, Royal Sussex Hospital and the William Harvey Hospital Ashford. Privately Dr Lloyd consults BMI the Esperance Hospital, The Harley Street Clinic as well as CVS. Dr Lloyd has a particular interest in imaging the heart using echocardiography (ultrasound) and cardiac CT scanning as well as other imaging technologies. In addition he performs coronary angioplasty and implants permanent pacemakers. Dr Lloyd has a wide teaching and training role. He continues to undertake research into many aspects of heart disease and particularly imaging the heart. The Eastbourne heart valve disease clinic was the first of it’s kind in the country. He is a Senior Lecturer at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. Dr Lloyd is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, a member of the British Cardiac Society. He is president elect of the British Society of Echocardiography. He lives in the Downland village of Alfriston with his family. |
