Dr Guy Lloyd studied medicine at Guys and St Thomas' Hospital Medical School, University of London. He has dual accreditation (CCST) in Cardiology and General Internal Medicine (2002). He has worked in the NHS since 1991 and has been employed as a consultant cardiologist at Eastbourne DGH since 2002 he also holds honorary contracts at St Thomas' Hospital, Royal Sussex Hospital and the William Harvey Hospital Ashford. Privately Dr Lloyd consults from each of these institutions and BMI the Esperance hospital as well as CVS. Dr. Neil Sulke (BSc, DM, FRCP, FESC, FACC)
Neil Sulke studied medicine at Sussex University following obtaining an Honours Degree in Biochemistry at the University of Sussex. His post-graduate training was initially at Southampton University Hospitals, followed by William Harvey Hospital Ashford, Kent and then 10 years at Guy's Hospital London followed by 5 years at St Thomas's Hospital, London. He is currently appointed Consultant Cardiologist at Eastbourne Hospital, East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust and Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton. Dr. Nik Patel (MB BS, MRCP, CCST, FRCP)
Dr Nikhil Patel is a Consultant Cardiologist and Physician and has practised in Eastbourne for the last 10 years. He studied medicine at the St Guy's Hospital Medical School, part of the University of London, qualifying in 1989 with an MB BS.
Dr Patel conducted his Cardiology training predominantly within the south east at Kings College Hospital in London, (1992-93), the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford (1993), Guys Hospital (1994-96), St Thomas' Hospital (1997-98), Eastbourne District General Hospital (1998) and finally again at Guy’s and St Thomas' Cardiothoracic centre for six months in 1999. Dr Kamalvand is a Consultant Cardiologist and Physician. Educated at University College School in London, he studied medicine at the St George’s Hospital Medical School, part of the University of London, qualifying in 1987 with a BSC MB BS. Dr Kamalvand conducted his Cardiology training predominantly at Harefield Hospital in Middlesex, (1991-92), the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford (1992), Guys Hospital (1993-96), the Eastbourne District General Hospital (1997) and finally the Royal Sussex County Hospital Brighton for six months in 1997/98. In April 1998, he was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at the William Harvey Hospital and visiting Consultant Cardiologist at Guy's and St Thomas Trust and remains in these posts. Dr. Jane Fisher (MA DM MRCP)
Dr. Fisher studied medicine at Oxford University Medical School and the John Radcliffe Hospitals . She returned there to research hypertension and heart failure for her Doctorate of Medicine (1994-7). She has dual accreditation (CCST) in Cardiology and General Internal Medicine (2000). Dr. Fisher has worked in the NHS since 1988 and has been employed as a consultant cardiologist at William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) and Kings College Hospital ( London ) since 2002. Her special interests in addition to general cardiology include heart failure, hypertension, angina, echocardiography and coronary angiography. She is the Lead Cardiologist for heart failure and audit for East Kent Hospitals , and joint lead for heart failure in the Kent Cardiac Network. Dr. Vinit Shah (MBBS, MD, MRCP (Paediatrics), FRCPCH)
Dr. Shah studied medicine at University of Bombay, India. He further trained in paediatrics and neonatology at Monash university in Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Shah obtained further training and experience in speciality of paediatrics, neonatology and paediatric cardiology in UK and Singapore. He is a fellow of the royal college of paediatrics and child health and academy of medicine, Singapore. He is on the specialist register of the GMC. Dr. Nagesh Prathibha
Dr.Prathibha is a Consultant Respiratory and General Physician with an interest in Sleep disorders, Domicilary Ventilation for Respiratory failure and Cystic Fibrosis. After obtaining a Fellowship in Sleep Medicine, from Stanford Sleep Disorders Centre, California, she was appointed as a Consultant in 1999, initially working in Wales before moving to East Kent in 2003. She is a member of the British Thoracic Society and British Sleep Society as well as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. Dr. Intisar Mirza BM BSc PhD MRCP
Dr Intisar has completed a Research Fellowship in complex pacemakers as therapy for atrial fibrillation (working with Dr Holt at the Maidstone and St Thomas’s Hospitals). He has a specialist interest in coronary angiography and angioplasty, angina, atrial fibrillation, echocardiography and pacemaker implantation for cardiac arrythmias and heart failure. |
